Every man, every country has original features of its own. "From A to Z" program talks exactly about Belarus, its history and culture, marvelous, wise and courageous people. Together with my colleagues we are writing a live history of our country.

* Naum Yakovlevich was modest, but we believe we should say that he is the author of 9 books, lyricist of many popular songs, script-writer for various TV and radio projects. His literary works were translated into Polish, Romanian, Bulgarian, Russian, English, other languages. He started as a plant worker, then a proofreader at a newspaper. His journalistic career began at a district newspaper. Then he was an editor of a plant radio, a correspondent of State TV and Radio Company, deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Vozhyk Magazine, Literature and Art Newspaper, deputy head of the Belarus’ writers’ union, and finally director of the Foreign Broadcasting Division of the Belarusian Radio.

Deputy Director, author of "International Review" project
Since the early childhood I like reading, was into biology and later into history and foreign relations. The latter two hobbies became important part of my current profession and the first one grew into the need of communication with nature. It helps better understand and appreciate it. I am sure that there is no unnecessary knowledge if you are able to use it in professional activity and everyday life.
I hate indifference and irresponsibility. I value honesty, professionalism and readiness to help.
I like my job. I constantly open new possibilities, new opportunities. I really enjoy communicating with colleagues.

Working at the Belarusian Radio since 1998, from the first days of the English-language service foreign broadcasting. Author and anchorman of news issues, political, cultural and educational projects. My main hobby is inseparable from the job – translation of the Belarusian poetry into English for the series "Cultural palette of Belarus". I am confident, that the Belarusian poetry deserves to be available for the world cultural community.

Journalism is a way of constant improvement. When telling the audience about some event or presenting interesting persons, one has an opportunity to learn new things. More so as the radio provides a unique possibility to use the emotivity of words to express all that cannot be shown.

I like a sea, an ocean. Its nature is close to such kinds of art as music and theater.
The same genres, the same styles… A chamber and contemplation character of a calm weather may turn into sudden passion and impetuosity and lead to a dramatic payoff.
Here, Poseidon is the main director or conductor, a person having a command in the issues of dramaturgy. Passions and waves will abate and everything will repeat.
Each time, a score (a play, a libretto) is written upon a smooth tablet. The serene surface of the sea features the author’s words:"…everything starts, just to repeat…"

What helps me in the nebulous seconds of bewilderment:
don’t take the snow amiss - it won’t get red because of it;
when striving to explore the dark side of the moon, you should first provide yourself with a source of light.

I am happy not to have mistaken about choosing my profession. I regard it to be one of the most interesting, as it means constant meetings with people. And some characters are quite colorful! I remember the names of almost all of my programs’ protagonists. A special pleasure was my work with the veterans of the World War II. Their reminiscences gave me the creeps. I think, our listeners, too…
I have been working at the Radio station “Belarus” for a long time. But I do not feel the yoke of time. I am pleased with the new generation of journalists: they are smart, educated and receptive. So, they are our good successors. May God bring their way interesting interlocutors, well-bred colleagues and clever leaders.

I have been working at radio "Belarus" since 2004. During these years, I have understood that there is no needless knowledge in the work of a journalist. At the same time, there is no sense in learning, comprehending, searching, clearing up if everything lies dormant in your mind. That’s why I’m glad to have an opportunity to share my knowledge and opinions with our listeners. And it’s even greater to continue learning something new of my country and tell the others about it. Knowing that it’s not in vain…

1. Smile is the best outfit;
2. Obstacles may be though of as a problem or a chance;
Wonders happen with those people who believe.

Work at radio is a schema in some things. In order to be on air for five minutes one needs to work for the whole day.
Friendship is really important here. We have no accidental people – the job either inspires or becomes really hard. However after long time at radio one can agree with Kozma Prutkov: "Three things are hard to finish once started: a) eat good food; b) talk with a friend who returned from a long journey; c) scratch where it is etching." We are just like in this saying – once started communicating with the audience can not and do not want to stop.

"A happy man is first of all the one who eagerly goes to work and not less eagerly gets back home. In this respect, I’m a lucky person. Radio "Belarus" is the place where you can reveal your talents and your creative potential. If you did manage to make your listener feel elated or concerned, you did a great job in making the world around you a little bit better".

My programs are news and music. Thanks to working with news I’m always in the swim. Music projects are a field for creativity. I always strive for better. I respect people who are in constant progress and ready to surprise. When talking to people, intonation is more important for me than the words they say. Never get tired of smiling and like to make other people smile.

A master of arts, I couldn’t imagine I would work for the radio several years ago, especially in the Radio Belarus team. Incidentally, music is not the only thing I like: I adore cats and beautiful plants.

It is hard to speak of yourself. I am in my 50-ies. If it is much, I don’t know. The age does not mean a thing, still, it sometimes makes me sad, when colleagues address me by my patronymic. I would prefer merely by name… The work at the radio is not just a work, but a way of life. Yet, sometimes I feel like forgetting about interviews, reports, studio recordings, and computer editing. The philosophy of my life is: everything will pass – the good and the bad. Sooner or later.

All my interests are reflected in the broadcasts of radio station "Belarus". My project "Green world" narrates about our environment. The broadcast "Simple things" is about those items which we, Belarusians, use in our everyday life. I adore my work - perhaps because of this it is very interesting to me and you, dear friends, I hope.

Appearances are often deceptive, words – polysemic. Hear when you listen. Don’t identify yourself excessively with the work you do, keep the distance to yourself and take yourself with a pinch of salt. And bring light, good and hope into the life wherever possible. There is a catchword – positive. I’m for it!

"There’s nothing more important than feelings. Feelings are the only thing worth living for – apart from the opportunity to tell somebody about them." It’s a quotation from one of my favorite books "Loneliness in the Internet", written by Janush Leon Vishnevski. When I read this phrase I understood that I live and create according to this principle, for I am one of those lucky women who get true satisfaction from their work. Besides, from my point of view journalism is a peculiar factory for creating, storing and spreading of feelings.

Lately I’ve been following the principle: "One life is not enough for us!" That is why I try to vary every free minute and fill it with useful and pleasant things! Indeed, there is so much to be done, while you are still alive!
That is why there is just one thing I can offer you: "Live your life and enjoy!"

My job is time spinning away and a kaleidoscope of personalities, events and points of view. Journalist has nothing to do with dullness, idleness, and routine. Personally, I don’t know what the words mean.
I’m fond of theatre, classic music and good literature.

"Ad cogitandum et agendum homo natus est – a person gets into the world for the thought and action", – the Latin proverb puts it. But the main thing is to think firstly and then – to act! It concerns science, and art, and work at the radio station, which, all in all, combines both!

The most important for me is to get up every morning with a happy feeling of the beginning of a new day. The day full of events, communication, pleasant trifles, smiles of people dear to me. Attempts to catch the beauty and uniqueness of the moment, incredibility of the event – this is probably what makes my life and my work interesting, highly-charged, diverse.

I am happy that my fate led me to the radio station Belarus. The most important thing for me is that working at the radio station helps me improve myself and develop. I learn new things every day.
I am glad that my job gives me a chance to meet interesting people, people of different fates and character.
